Intro My experience in this presentation was noticeably different from my first presentation. Unlike the past presentation where I taught the class, this presentation was simply informing them about specific figures. With this presentation we were supposed to research changemakers through a specific era. Each person in my group was responsible for researching and presenting a different influential figure, and the person I chose was James Madison. At first, I wasn’t really sure what to think of James Madison as he wasn't the flashiest name compared to some of the louder personalities in early American history. In fact I originally was going to choose Alexander Hamilton. But the more I learned, the more I realized how deeply his ideas shaped the foundations of the United States. His story, leadership, and dedication to equality showed how one person’s determination can influence an entire country. The group did a great job explaining who he was, what he believed in, and the lasting impact he had on civil rights and equality. In the presentation, the group explained that Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia. They also mentioned that he became a Baptist minister and later a major leader in the Civil Rights Movement. The presentations in our class were a very interesting experience because they allowed us to learn about many different historical figures who helped shape society and the world we live in today. Each group chose important peacemakers, leaders, and activists who made a lasting impact on history. While some groups talked about influential people from the 20th century, my group specifically focused on C onstitutional Authors who helped shape the foundations of government. Personally, I presented on Benjamin Franklin , while other members of my group talked about figures such as George Washington . Other groups presented about leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela . Listening to all the presentations made me realize how many individuals throughout history have worked to create change and improve society.       The chapter presentations on public speaking turned out to be one of the most helpful parts of this class. Instead of just reading the textbook and trying to picture how the skills worked, we actually saw them in real situations through our classmates. Every presentation had a new focus and a different style. This kept the class interesting and made the lessons easier to understand. It showed me that public speaking is not only about knowing information, but also about how you deliver it, how confident you appear, and how well you connect with your audience.       I was in Group 1, and I really appreciated working with my team. Everyone had different strengths, and we did a good job supporting one another. We divided the work fairly and made sure each person knew their part. Up and Down of a Project In my past experience, I have done similar projects where I teach my class. I taught my class how to make portfolios in one class and in another I taught them what nature vs nurture is. Now with this project I taught my class what to look for in their audience, how to research their audience, and how to use that information in a speech. However, despite the previous experience I have had with presentations where I taught my classes. This would have been my first presentation in a couple of years. So, it felt like I was relearning how to do a presentation all over again. This past presentation was interesting and to do a presentation that teaches the class was challenging.     Public speaking has always made me nervous, so having to present in my public speaking class was something I thought about a lot before the actual day. Even though this class is meant to help students become more comfortable speaking in front of others, it still feels stressful to stand up in front of a room and talk. I usually worry about how I sound, whether I am speaking clearly, and if I will forget something important while presenting.      For this assignment, I was placed in group 1, which meant we had to present first. Going first made me more nervous than usual because there was no time to watch other groups or get a sense of how the presentations would go. I felt like all the attention was on us, and that added pressure.
